Rationale
An improved modern Russian distribution infrastructure, which allows more export opportunities for Dutch ornamentals and vegetables.
Areas of attention
The Working Group Trade Infrastructure deals with strategy formulation for developing the Russian greenhouse sector trade infrastructure for ornamentals as well as vegetables, whilst at the same time securing sufficient added value product flows from The Netherlands. Aspects, such as seasonality, complementarity, quality product needs, and complementing quantitative needs to meet Russian demand are all taken into consideration. Collective product positioning and marketing of Dutch product, including competitive advantages of Dutch products are focus areas. Organisational and logistic requirements to promote and implement more effective Dutch product flows, so as to meet the volatile needs of increasingly demanding Russian consumers. This also entails the streamlining and harmonisation of bilateral trade legal framework.
