Rationale and approach. We, The Netherlands, as greenhouse leader in the world, should organise and structure ourselves, so as to collectively help Russian entrepreneurs in making an educated investment decision in (Dutch) high technology greenhouses! A demo centre is the answer!
Furthermore, once we assist these Russian parties in their greenhouse investments, we are ‘obliged' to ensure that they achieve an satisfying return on their investments in Dutch greenhouse technologies and methodologies. This is achieved by assisting and supporting cultivation (and post harvest) techniques and procedures, and to provide practical hands-on advice and transfer of knowledge. A training centre is the answer!
The demo and training centre will be established close to the market (greenhouse production areas), and preferably centrally and conveniently located to attract attendees for the training centre. It must be noted that the training centre will not only cater for producers (from supervisor to management), but also to other actors in greenhouse horticultural chains, such as retailers and wholesalers.
